Health Through Hospitality

Chester County Hospital has a Mission & Vision Statement “to develop and implement programs and services which will enhance the health status of the community.”

A product of that mission is the hospital’s commitment to providing a broad scope of high-quality health education programs to the people of Chester County, PA and the surrounding communities of the western Philadelphia suburbs and along the Main Line. A wide variety of wellness classes, events and services that address specific life cycle needs and chronic health conditions are also available on an on-going basis. Programs are offered on-site at the Chester County Hospital location in West Chester, PA, at other locations across the region, and even online.

By way of example, recent programs have included:

  • Healthy Eating in a Busy World
  • Functional Foods in Chronic Disease Prevention
  • Eating for Your Mind.

Other special presentations on a variety of food, health, and wellness related topics are offered at various community sites across Chester County throughout the year. Topics are selected to provide a broad array of subjects including “hot topics” in the news and ways to manage specific health conditions. Lectures and special events even offer the opportunity to meet  medical and allied health professional staff and learn about health and community services of interest to everyone.
